The 16th forum of the leading coordinators of the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA) held in Vilnius, decided to hold a workshop jointly with the European Commission in 2011, the Taxes Ministry's report, published on the Ministry's official publication "Vergiler" (Taxes) on Wednesday, says.
The forum was attended by coordinators and other representatives of 33 countries (including Azerbaijan's representatives), members of IOTA.
Presentations were held at the forum on new assessment models and technical programs of IOTA, as well as an electronic information database, available on the organization's website. It was noted that the main purpose of creating an electronic database is to study the experience of member countries in taxation, ease of using this experience and the intensification of information exchange
Participants also made a proposal to create a unified electronic database of technical queries on the organization's website to meet the technical queries and requests relating to the activities of working groups and subgroups of the organization.
The organization's cooperation with other international and regional organizations was also discussed.
The Intra-European Organization of Tax Administration (IOTA) is an intergovernmental international organization based on the membership of the tax administrations. The IOTA's headquarters is located in Budapest (Hungarian Republic).
