State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) of Azerbaijan intends to complete the data collection to create an automated system for individual record in mid next year, the chairman of the State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan Salim Muslimov said to a press conference at the headquarters of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party on Friday.

"We lag behind the plans, because these issues had previously been scheduled to be addressed by the end of this year. We started these reforms in 2003 and should create a system that frees people from collecting and producing documents for pension," Muslimov said.

According to him, firstly it is necessary to open individual accounts all registered persons in the State Fund. Now the process of collecting data continues to create the system and the Fund plans to complete it by mid next year.

"The Fund also collects data on wages for the period of 2006-2010. Already 70-90 percent of the information has been collected and data for 2010 will appear by the end of this year," he said.
According to him, the Fund's plans also include devising direct electronic appeal for the pension.

Automated system for individual record has been developed in connection with the transition of the social insurance system to the accumulative principle. Under this system, it is envisaged to register the working population, persons engaged in business, account and control over the length of service, privilege, etc.
