The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers has approved the procedure of import and customs clearance of rare vehicles, the Cabinet reported on Friday.
This procedure has been prepared in accordance with the Cabinet's decision dated March 6, 2010 on activities to bring requirements on air emissions of hazardous substances by vehicles in Azerbaijan (import and production in the Republic) in accordance with the European standards.
The rare vehicles are the cars, of which production period exceeds 40 years and are imported into the territory where customs control is carried out, with the engine, body and chassis in their original condition or to those of automobile parts, in original condition.
The custom dues to introduce the rare cars in free circulation in the territory of Azerbaijan 's will be charged in accordance with the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity, acting in the republic.
The customs clearance of are cars manufactured in accordance with the requirements arising from the provisions of a selected transition while passing the customs border of Azerbaijan customs regime.
