Kazakhstan, Astana, Nov. 3 / Trend A.Maratov /

Grain output reached nearly 13.9 million tons in Kazakhstan as of Nov. 1, Kazakh Agriculture Ministry Executive Secretary Eugene Aman told journalists today.

"Grain output amounted to about 13.9 million tons, which is enough to fully ensure domestic needs given the rolling stock," he said.

According to Aman, the harvest volume is also enough to keep the country's export potential at 7-8 million tons.

"With regard to the regulation of the grain market and the stabilization of prices on flour, bread and pasta, Food Contract Corporation has created the necessary wheat reserve," he said.

In addition, Aman noted that the government will purchase an additional 970,000 more tons of grain to stabilize grain prices.
