Azerbaijan suspends sales of low-quality polyethylene bags

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development during monitoring in a market, located in the Str. S. Asgarova, 203 in Baku’s Nasimi district has revealed the absence of certificates of compliance and health and other relevant documents for 349 kilograms of packets of polyethylene bags under the brand names "Reyhaneh", "Sun shine", "Parsa", "Rozhina", "Pilgoon", the Ministry of Economic Development said today.

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development during monitoring in a market, located in the Str. S. Asgarova, 203 in Baku's Nasimi district has revealed the absence of certificates of compliance and health and other relevant documents for 349 kilograms of packets of polyethylene bags under the brand names "Reyhaneh", "Sun shine", "Parsa", "Rozhina", "Pilgoon", the Ministry of Economic Development said today.

It was indicated on the packets that they are produced in Iran. Also, despite the indication of the presence of 100 bags in one package, in fact, it contained 40 to 80 bags.

The State Service ordered to destroy 349 kilograms of packets of polyethylene bags of unknown origin, seizing them from the market.
