Azerbaijan suspends production and sale of fake cables and wires

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development during inspection of production unit owned by “Kaucuk” Ltd located on the Baku-Guba highway revealed that electric cables and wires labeled with illegal using of “Turksan kablo” trademark of the “Qranit” firm, as well as lack of a certificate of compliance for cables and wires, rubber of plastic doors and windows, and air ducts, the Ministry of Economic Development said.

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development during inspection of production unit owned by "Kaucuk" Ltd located on the Baku-Guba highway revealed that electric cables and wires labeled with illegal using of "Turksan kablo" trademark of the "Qranit" firm, as well as lack of a certificate of compliance for cables and wires, rubber of plastic doors and windows, and air ducts, the Ministry of Economic Development said.

The inspection found paper labels and packaging materials that don't meet regulatory requirements, and electrical wires, packaged using this material and labels.

The State Service suspended production and sale of cables and wires, rubber of plastic doors and windows, air ducts, as well as the illegal use of the trademark "Turksan kablo" and entrusted the company to destroy 352 kilograms of fake packaging material, as well as 3,800 paper labels.
