According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), there were 4,059 payment cards in late September. It exceeds the same index by 0.15 percent and by 6.4 percent in late 2009.
The number of operations during the reporting period on debit cards totaled 3,603 units. The volume of transactions on debit cards totaled 435 million manat.
About 3,472 transactions worth 409 million manat were conducted through ATMs, 69,000 operations worth 17 million manat - through POS-terminals.
About 201,000 transactions totaling $56 million manat were conducted by credit cards in September.
About 81,000 operations worth 20 million manat were conducted through ATMs, and 17,000 operations worth 13 million manat - through POS-terminals
