In Jan.-Sept. 2010, Uzbekistan produced industrial products amounting to 23 trillion 925.5 billion soums, or 8.3 percent more than the same period of 2009, according to State Statistics Committee.
The share of fuel industry in total industrial production amounted to 19.5 percent (21.2 percent in Jan.-Sept. 2009), mechanical engineering and metal working - 16.4 percent (15.9 percent), light industry - 12.3 percent (11.3 percent), food - 12.3 percent (11.4 percent), non-ferrous metals - 12 percent (11.6 percent), electricity industry - 8.6 percent (8.9 percent), chemical and petrochemical industry - 5.1 percent (5 percent), construction materials - 5 percent (5.2 percent), ferrous metallurgy - 2.6 percent (2.6 percent), woodworking and pulp and paper - 1 per cent (1.2 percent), other industries - 5.2 percent (5.7 percent).
