Azerbaijan suspends sales of low-quality polyethylene bags

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection of the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry during monitoring in the production site in the house in the eighth micro-district, belonging to Rahman Ibadov, and in the shop owned by LLC "Alirzaoglu" located in the 46th quarter, revealed the fact of production of polyethylene bags without a certificate of conformity and hygiene, the Economic Development Ministry said today. Secondary raw materials were used during their production and necessary details of intend of their use were not indicated on the bags.

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection of the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry during monitoring in the production site in the house in the eighth micro-district, belonging to Rahman Ibadov, and in the shop owned by LLC "Alirzaoglu" located in the 46th quarter, revealed the fact of production of polyethylene bags without a certificate of conformity and hygiene, the Economic Development Ministry said today. Secondary raw materials were used during their production and necessary details of intend of their use were not indicated on the bags.

Given these facts, the State Service ordered the withdrawal from the market and suspending sales of 2,759 polyethylene bags, which don't indicate intend of use, and 680 kilograms of polyethylene bags in a semi-finished condition.

In addition, during inspections held in the store, located on the Str. M. Rafili in the Nasimi district of Baku, the State Service has reveled sale 35.4 kilograms of polyethylene bags of unknown origin, without specifying the purpose of use and ordered their destruction.
