Georgia, China to deepen cooperation in economic sphere

Georgia and China will deepen cooperation in the fields of transport, infrastructure, tourism, agriculture and information technology. This was discussed at the fourth session of the intergovernmental cooperation commission on trade and economy between Georgia and China, Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend.

The meeting was held the day before in Beijing. The Georgian delegation was headed by the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Abesalom Kekelia.

The meeting considered the prospects of economic cooperation. The meeting stressed that it is necessary to support the establishment of closer relations between the sides, which would be a prerequisite for increasing the Chinese investments in Georgia.

A protocol was signed as a result of the meeting of the intergovernmental commission on cooperation on trade and economy between Georgia and China.
