The Azerbaijani Parliamentary Economic Policy Committee is discussing the issue of increasing the efficiency of laws with the government's economic bloc, Chairman Ziyad Samadzade said.
"We discussed the issues of ensuring functioning of economic laws with the ministries of finance and economic development, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, and State Customs Committee. Today, the main thing for us is to improve the efficiency of laws, but not to increase their number," Samadzade said.
In addition, Samadzade noted that the Parliament's spring session will be very intense and effective. He said the committee received a lot of new legislative documents - a new edition of the Customs Code, the draft of the Building Code, the Code of Competition, and the draft law "On Compulsory Insurance Types" and "On Urban Planning." The adoption of these laws will help the country in terms of economic diversification, ensuring qualitative economic growth.
In addition, the committee members prepared a draft law "On Education Loans," which aims at the examination in the CBA.
"Discussion of the draft law at the committee's meeting is scheduled for February," Samadzade said.
