Total area of residential buildings put into operation in Azerbaijan in 2010 amounted to 1.803 million square meters, or 20.1 percent more than in 2009, the State Statistics Committee said.
Roughly 4.721 billion manat, or 29.1 percent more than in 2009 were invested in the construction of production facilities, construction in the service sector - 4.993 billion manat, or 4.5 percent more than last year.
Total investments in main capital hit 9.715 billion manat, increasing by 21,2 percent. The expenditures on building and construction work amounted to 6.443 billion manat, or 19.8 percent more than in 2009.
The official exchange rate is 0.7974 manat to $1.
