Iran’s textile products and apparel exports decreased

During the nine months of 2010 (March to December), Iran's textile products and apparel exports decreased from the same period of the last year and reached US $420 billion, ILNA reported quoting  Iran Textile Exporters Association secretary Mehdi Ikta as saying.

According to Ikta, Iraq and Afghanistan were the main counters that imported Iranian clothing during March to December 2010.

Iran's main export of textile products and apparel commodities related to yarn and fabrics with worth US $151 million, clothing US $71 million, and carpet and flooring US $154 million during mentioned period, Ikta said.

The countries main textile and apparel exports include wool, cotton and man-made-fiber apparel, knitted fabrics, bags, shoes, towels, blankets, machine-made apparel.

The Iranian textile association was founded in 1984 with name of Keshbafan exporters based of the Iran Chamber of Commerce law. This name finally changed to textile associations and at this time this association has nearly 400 members which are mostly manufacturers and exports in textile industries.

This association is country wide and all manufacturers and exporters all around the country can be part of it.

This association at this moment has a branch in Khorasan Razavi.
