Azerbaijani bank's assets increased by 2 percent in January

As of Feb. 1, 2010 the assets of Azerbaijani Texnikabank totaled 496,88 million manat. They reduced by 1.8 percent in January, the bank said.

The authorized capital amounted to 53,69 million manat, total capital - 64,54 million manat.

The deposit portfolio of the bank reached 211.17 million manat in August. It increased by 5.2 percent. Physical entities' deposits amounted to 131.52 million manat. General obligations of the bank amounted to 391.72 million manat.

As of Feb. 1, the deposit portfolio hit 247,06 million manat and reduced by 3.4 percent in January. The physical entities' deposits hit 184,705 million manat.

The loan portfolio increased by 1.2 percent and hit 340,67 million manat in January.

The bank's income amounted to 4.26 million manat, including interest income - 4,01 million manat, non-interest income - 0.25 million manat. The bank's costs amounted to 3.51 million manat.

The net profit of the bank totaled 748,230 manat as of February 1.

The number of active cards in early August totaled 47,975 units. Texnikabank installed 61 ATMs and 101 POS-terminal. The bank has 35 branches and five offices.

Texnika Bank has been operating on the banking market since 1993. At present, the majority shareholder of the bank is World Wines company. It owns 75 percent stake. Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Etibar Aliyev, controls 15 percent of the shares, and the U.S company Kazimir Investment Caspian Fund - 10 percent stake.

The official exchange rate is 0,7956 manat to $1.
