In January 2011, prices for consumer goods and tariffs for services grew up by 0.8 percent compared to December 2010 and increased by 8.3 percent compared to the same period of 2010, the state statistics committee said.
During the reported period, mostly prices of food products increased by 1.5 percent, prices of non-food products remained unchanged and tariffs for services decreased by 0.4 percent.
Compared to January 2010, cost of food products grew by 3.7 percent, while cost of non-food products increased by 2.8 percent and tariffs for services decreased by 0.5 percent.
In January, the basic consumer price index, not including goods and services which are subject to seasonal changes (fruits and vegetables), and prices regulated by the state increased compared to the previous month by 0.4 percent and compared to January 2010 - 6 percent.
