Materials worth 17.2 million manat were produced in the construction industry in Azerbaijan in January, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan said on Wednesday.
The enterprises during this period produced 86,500 tons of cement, which is 5.1 percent more than in January 2010, 7,100 tons of gypsum plaster, which is 2,5 times more, and 12,800 cubic meters of bricks, 42,500 tons of asphalt, 4,000 cubic meters of assembly and the building structures of concrete, 39.700 tons of finished concrete mixture.
As of Feb. 1, 2011 at enterprises' warehouses stocks of the finished products at 9.5 million manat were created, which comprises 4.3 percent of the finished product of all industrial sphere of the country.
The official exchange rate is 0.7954 manat to $1 on Feb.17.
