Kazakhstan Prime Minister, Karim Masimov, has charged the Minister of Communication and Information, Askar Zhumagaliyev, to increase the internet speed up to 16 megabytes per second, Kazakhstan Today reports.
"We should prepare accordingly to take it into account when drawing the budget for 2012 and increase the internet speed in Kazakhstan up to the level of the South Korea," K. Masimov said, kazinform reported.
According to the Prime Minister, the issue of broadband internet speed is an issue of our competitiveness. It is not of less importance than other social tasks.
