Hyundai Engineering Co., Hyundai Corp. and Korea Electric Power Corp. won an order to upgrade power substations in Kazakhstan through 2014, the central Asian country's grid operator said, Bloomberg reported.
The Korean companies signed a 73 million-euro ($100 million) deal in Astana today with AO Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company, the country's main power distributor, Marat Mukhamedsaliyev, a spokesman for the state-owned operator known as Kegoc, said by phone.
