Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover with 94 countries comprised $2.166 billion in January 2011, the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee reported. The figure increased by 51.66 compared to January 2010.
The black ink of import-export operations amounted to $979.81 billion.
In total 1,821 legal entities (1,299) and physical entities (522) participated in the foreign trade operations.
The amount of export hit $1.573 billion in January 2011 or 10.14 percent ($6.6 billion) more compared to the same period of 2010.
The share of public sector in exports totaled $1.499 billion, private - $ 66.21 billion (percent) and physical entities - $7.37 million.
Imports totaled $592.989 million, which increased by 62.91 percent compared to the same period of 2009.
The share of public sector in import operations amounted to $198.37 million, the private sector - $365.77 million and physical entities - 28.85 million.
