Turkey ready to establish Istanbul-Esfahan direct air link
Turkish ambassador to Iran Umit Yardim said his country is ready to launch Istanbul-Esfahan direct air link.
Yardim in a meeting with Governor of Esfahan, Iranian central city, on Tuesday night referred to the trip of Turkish President Abdullah Gul to Iran in 2010 and said, "different Turkish delegations will visit Esfahan in future."
He also highlighted Esfahan's tourism potentials and said, "Istanbul is ready to boost cooperation in tourism and trade and will follow up on it."
Yardim expressed hope Iranian officials would accept Turkey's offer for launch of direct air line between Esfahan and Istanbul.
Esfahan Governor, Alireza Zaker-Esfahani on his part highlighted Esfahan's handicraft and tourism potentials and called for expansion of mutual ties with Istanbul.
