The total capital of Azerbaijan's Texnikabank, as of April 26, reached to 89.5 million manat, up 53.2 percent from the respective date of last year and 39.4 percent from the 2010 result, the bank reported on Thursday.

The total capital of Azerbaijan's Texnikabank, as of April 26, reached to 89.5 million manat, up 53.2 percent from the respective date of last year and 39.4 percent from the 2010 result, the bank reported on Thursday.

In the reported period, the bank issued 51,323 cards, and installed 81 ATMs and 602 POS-terminals.

Texnikabank has been operational in Azerbaijan since 1993 and was the 100 percent Azerbaijan-owned bank until 2007. Its majority shareholder is currently World Wines which holds 75 percent of the shares. Chairman of the bank's Observation Council Etibar Aliyev holds 15 percent, and US's Kazimir Investment Caspian Fund holds 10 percent.

The bank joins the top five banks of Azerbaijan in terms of major financial indicators. At the moment, there are 35 branches and 5 affiliated branches of the bank operational in the country. The number of Texnikabank employees is currently 637.
