The AzeriCard Processing Center has intensified its activity to improve the service quality, AzeriCard official Jahangir Mammadov said.
"Such an innovative service as Cash by Code has been already launched," he said. "The cardholders can get cash from ATMs with the help of Cash by Code service without using a plastic card. A new version of mobile banking is being tested."
He said a new mobile banking service may under launched utrial operation in the next 1.5-2 months.
The peculiarity of the new version of mobile banking is that it will not be tied to a specific mobile operator.
The access to mobile payments will be possible from all mobile phones operating in the networks of all mobile operators. This service will be supported due to data transmission technologies.
It is necessary to download an additional application to use the service.
Today, about 30 banks are served in AzeriCard in Azerbaijan and abroad. Roughly 28 are members of international payment systems. There are only 44 banks in Azerbaijan.
