Qatar Airways and KLM to make flights to Baku
Azerbaijan, Baku, June 2 / Trend E.Ismayilov /
Qatar Airways will launch flights to Baku from Doha on Nov. 30, Civil Aviation Administration Director Arif Mammadov said at an event dedicated to the Day of Civil Aviation on Thursday.
The fifth 'freedom of the air' is the right or privilege, in respect of scheduled international air services, granted by one State to another State to put down and to take on, in the territory of the first State, traffic coming from or destined to a third State (also known as a Fifth Freedom Right).
Mammadov said Qatar Airways will facilitate the arrival of the other major carriers. Qatar Airways intends to perform flights for five to seven times a week.
The Dutch KLM returns to the Azerbaijani market, since at present the airline has a problem with one stopover in Iran, he said.
