Iran produces 75 percent of basic ingredients of its domestic drug production, IRNA reported quoting Health Minister Marziyeh Vahideh-Dastjerdi as saying.
"Iran has a significant progress in drug production, medical equipment and expansion of health network," she said.
"Medical equipment is produced domestically," Vahideh-Dastjerdi. "We aim to produce Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MIR) in the future, she added.
An MRI machine is a medical device uses a powerful magnetic field to align the magnetization of some atoms in the body, and radio frequency fields to systematically alter the alignment of this magnetization.
The health minister urged government to make transparent plans on medical tariffs at public sector and predicted increase in tariffs in public sector.
