Georgian Parliament keeps its 2012-budget unchanged

The budget of the Georgian parliament in 2012, as in 2011, is projected at 33,900,700 lari (1.66 lari is $1), the parliament told Trend.

The Parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee considered the Draft Budget for 2012 of the Georgian Parliament.

The parliament's expenses in 2011 are expected to hit 27,162,500 lari and this figure will remain unchanged in 2012. Some 16,648,400 of this figure is accounted for the payment of salaries, but expenditure on goods and services increased. In particular, the parliament is expected to spend 9,981,000 lari for purchase of goods and services, and next year this amount will increase to 10,055,000 lari.

A reduction is expected in transfers from grants in the future. If this figure amounted to 44,000 lari in 2011, then the amount will be reduced to 40,000 in the future. Expenditures on social security will rise from 200,000 lari in 2011 to 250,000 next year.

But costs under other expenses reduced from 289,000 lari in 2011 to 169,000 lari in the future. The volume of non-financial assets remains the same - 6,738 lari.
