Turkmen budget revenues executed at 113 percent

The Turkmen budget revenues were fulfilled at 113 percent in January-May, with expenditures of 94 percent, the Turkmen Finance Ministry said.

The growth rate of retail sales amounted to 115 percent.

A 44 percent increase was observed in the foreign trade turnover compared to the same period of 2010.

The volume of paid services rendered to the population increased by 15 percent compared to the same period in 2010 and the volume of passenger transportation in all modes of transportation has increased by 8 percent.

Budget revenues are formed at the expense of the oil and gas, chemical, power generation and construction sectors.

The document was prepared taking into account the growth of such economic sectors as agriculture, transportation, communications and foodstuffs. The revenues will grow at the expense of the private sector in 2011.

The Turkmen parliament approved a law on the 2011 state budget, with the planned revenue set at 61.957 billion manat and with expenditure costs set at 63.973 billion manat.
