Increasing non-oil export is the Oil Ministry's priority and the Iranian government plans to increase non-oil export to $45 billion, IRNA reported quoting First Vice President Mohammadreza Rahimi as saying.

Iran exported $28.4 billion worth of non-oil products including gas condensates and petrochemicals together with technical and engineering services, as well as $66.21 billion worth of oil and gas products during the previous Iranian year (ended March 20, 2011).

The non-oil revenues are used in country's infrastructure and in increase of the production capacity, he said.

Rahimi stressed the amount of transit increased from 4 to 11 million tons over the past years (until 2010) and this figure is expected to hit 40 million tons per year.
