Int'l conference in Tbilisi to discuss road transportation in Caucasus

The 6th Euro-Asian Road Transport Conference of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) kicks off in Tbilisi today. Ministers of Transport and Infrastructure from 70 countries and heads of 30 international organizations are invited to attend the conference.

The 6th Euro-Asian Road Transport Conference of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) kicks off in Tbilisi today. Ministers of Transport and Infrastructure from 70 countries and heads of 30 international organizations are invited to attend the conference.

The conference will discuss transport issues in the Caucasus region, and the development of transport infrastructure along the Great Silk Road.

The conference aims to improve road transportation between Europe and Asia and to adopt a declaration on trade and cargo transportation in Eurasia.

The conference will end on June 17.
