Twelve projects selected under TRACECA investment forum

Twelve investment projects under TRACECA corridor were selected for further submission to the second Investment Forum due in 2012, according to an official statement of the East European Partnership.

These projects were selected within a TRACECA meeting in Milan, Italy.

The rest priority projects for regional cooperation in the transport fields will be presented at a forum by brochures and on stands.

As many as 39 investment projects from difference TRACECA regions were presented in Milan. They included 16 from Central Asia, 13 from the Caucasus region and Turkey and from Southeast Europe.

TRACECA member-countries discussed in Milan a Regional Strategy on Marine Security and environmental protection by 2021, ways to improve security of land transport and general security within TRACECA corridor.

The second investment forum within the TRACECA (Europe-Caucasus-Asia) transport corridor will be held in Brussels in February 2012.

The First TRACECA Investment Forum was held in Brussels in 2010.

TRACECA is an international transport cooperation program between the EU and its Partner countries in Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia. The organization has a permanent Secretariat in Baku, Azerbaijan.

TRACECA member countries are Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Moldova, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Iran
