Iran needs $10 billion to invest in offshore projects

Iran 's offshore projects require $10 billion in investments out of the Central Bank of Iran(CBI), IRNA reported quoting Chairman of the Iranian International Consultants and Contractors Association Mohammad Ansari as saying.

"Iran exported technical and engineering services in the amount of over $3 billion last solar year (ended March 20,2011)," he said. "The figure is expected to increase this year."

More than 200 companies are involved in export of technical and engineering services. The export capacity of technical and engineering services is estimated to $15 billion.

Iran exported $28.4 billion worth of non-oil products, including technical and engineering services last solar year.

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Iran is the third largest country in the Middle East and Central Asia in terms of exports and imports.
