The Azerbaijani Akkord Industrial Construction Investment Corporation and the French Bouygues Travaux Publics will begin working on specific projects in Azerbaijan in the next few months, Bouyges Executive Director Jean-Pierre Margolin said on Wednesday in Baku.
He said the company expects the joint participation with Akkord in major infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan. Margolin said Bouygues has extensive experience in tunnel construction, which the company is ready to share with Akkord.
As Margolin said, mutual relations with Akkord, which is a major participant in the construction sector of Azerbaijan, are of great importance for Bouygues.
Akkord and the Bouygues travaux publics company, which is a part of Bouyges group, signed a memorandum of understanding in Baku on Wednesday, which envisages the cooperation between the parties in the infrastructural projects in Azerbaijan, including the laying of new lines and Baku metro stations.
Bouyges travaux publics is one of the well-known construction companies in the world, having rich experience in the construction of underground tunnels.
