Iran's gross domestic product growth is around 4 percent, Fars News Agency reported, quoting Member of Parliament Seyyed Hossein Hashemi as saying.

"Lacking sufficient and proper economic plans has reduced Iran's economic development growth during recent years", he said.

Neither the Central Bank of Iran nor Iranian Statistic Center has reported Iran's GDP growth since 2009.

Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund predicted zero percent GDP growth for Iran in 2011.

According to Iranian Fifth Development Plan for 2010-2015, GDP growth would increase to at least 8 percent per year.

Some Iranian MPs accuse the government of hiding economic statistics because of Iran's unpleasant economic situation.
