Producer prices for livestock products ups in Azerbaijan

In August, the production prices of agricultural products in Azerbaijan increased by 0.3 percent compared to July, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reported.

The production prices for livestock products increased by 0.2 percent as compared to the previous month.

Producer prices for cows increased in August by 0.8 percent, calves - 1.2 percent, and sheep - 0.3 percent, goats - 0.8 percent, milk of cow and buffalo - 2.7 and 0.2 percent respectively, buffalo - 1.4 percent, lambs up to one year - 2.6 percent, poultry - 1 percent, eggs - 1.6 percent, honey - 0.2 percent. Producer prices for unwashed hair fell by 0.5 percent.

In August, a reduction in price of fish and fish products hit 14.5 percent.

Prices for annual and biennial plants rose by 0.4 percent and long-term - 0.1 percent. Producer prices for refined, dried leguminous vegetables rose by 0.3 percent, maize - 1.4 percent, wheat - 2.8 percent, green beans vegetables - 37.3 percent, pepper - 4.2 percent, tomatoes - 1.5 percent, eggplant - 5.5 percent, greens and cucumbers - 4 percent, red beets - 6 percent melon - 9.5 percent and clover - 3.8 percent.

Prices for barley decreased by 1.7 percent, cabbage - 0.8 percent, onions - 4.9 percent, potatoes - 3.4 percent and watermelons - 2.3 percent.

Price for apricots rose by (2.3 percent) and cherry (6.2 percent). Producer prices for apples for fell by 0.7 percent, pears - 3.1 percent, plums - 2.7 percent, peaches - 11.8 percent, dogwood - 7.3 percent, blackberries - 5.6 percent and nuts - 7.5 percent.
