Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges to hold 17th General Assembly in Almaty

Almaty will host the 17th General Assembly of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) on Sept. 27-29, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) said. The event will be held by KASE jointly with the FEAS.

Almaty will host the 17th General Assembly of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) on Sept. 27-29, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) said. The event will be held by KASE jointly with the FEAS.

The decision to hold the Annual General Assembly in Almaty was made in Istanbul (Turkey) during the 16th General Assembly that took place in December 2010.
Today the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) jointly with KASE will hold the first meeting of the Eurasia Group on Corporate Governance for Capital Market Development.

The General Assembly and OECD meeting will be attended by chief executives of exchanges, depositories and broker-dealer associations of emerging markets in Europe and Asia, as well as international organizations, professional participants of the Kazakh securities market, Kazakh issuers, as well as representatives of business media.

FEAS was established on May 16, 1995 with 12 founding members. Currently it has 34 members and 13 affiliate members, including both post trade institutions, dealers associations and one regional federation, South Asian Federation of Exchanges (SAFE).
