A new page has opened in the relations between Azerbaijan and China, Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov said at a reception to mark the 62nd anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
"This page has opened with the establishment of Azerbaijani-Chinese inter-governmental commission. Already 40 agreements have been signed in various spheres within the work done by the commission," said Abbasov.
The minister said that the relations between Azerbaijan and China have a long history. "Since ancient times, Azerbaijan and China was connected by Silk Road," said Abbasov.
Bilateral relations between China and Azerbaijan are stable and dynamically developing, Chinese ambassador to Azerbaijan Zhang Yannian said at the event. "I am confident that China-Azerbaijan relations will prosper in the future," said the ambassador.
