Baku to host Azerbaijani-Swiss Business Forum

Baku will host an Azerbaijani-Swiss Business Forum.
Business Forum "Switzerland-Azerbaijan: the development of new opportunities for economic cooperation" will be held October 27 in Baku, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Switzerland, Murad Najafbeyli told Trend Wednesday.
Switzerland will be represented at the forum with over 40 companies specialized in areas such as finances, investment, banking, trade, taxes, law, health, teaching, accounting, real estate, education etc. Seminars will be organized within the forum on the following topics: finances and private banking, trade, legal and judicial framework; industry for entrepreneurs, the economy and legal framework, health care, schools and education, Najafbeyli said.
"Azerbaijan and Switzerland, as reliable trading partners, show the political will to further expand trade and economic relations", - said the ambassador.
The current trade turnover between the two countries exceeds $ 1 billion. 2010 saw an increase in imports and exports, respectively, by 37.5% and 84% compared to 2009.
Azerbaijan exports to Switzerland energy resources, precious metals, gems and jewellery while importing machines, noble metals, gems, jewellery, pharmaceuticals and watches from the European country.
