Azerbaijan Railways Chief Arif Askerov said no increases are planned for railway tariffs in Azerbaijan.
"No changes are expected in the railway tariffs," he told journalists on Thursday.
The new tariffs came into force from Feb. 1. Tariffs for passenger transportation services, and prices on the routes were defined, depending on the train type.
Depending on the direction and distance, the prices for conventional trains were determined at a rate of 3-19 manat, for high-speed trains - 14-25 manat.
Bedroom suites were also included in these rates. In conventional electric trains, the price of travel was defined in amount from 0.20 manat to 2 manat, in high-speed trains - from 0.60 manat to 6 manat.
