Iran possesses 40 percent of Islamic banks’ assets

Iran possesses 40 percent of the total sum of assets of Islamic banks around the world, which is around $300 billion, an Egyptian advisor to the Persian Gulf banks stated.

He told IRNA that Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Malaysia and Kuwait hold 40 percent of the assets.

The Asian Banker Research has reported that Iranian banks are the biggest Islamic banking players, holding seven out of the top 10 ranks.
