The Uzbek scientists have developed a technology for getting glucose from corn starch.

This technology can be used in manufacturing glucose domestically, Tashkent radio has announced today.

The Tashkent-based chemical-technological institute developed and successfully tested the new technology.

According to specialists, getting glucose from corn starch will enable Uzbekistan to set up the domestic production of glucose, which is of high demand in pharmacy and medicine.

No information was provided about investments, but the present technology can be applied in food industry and be perspective.
