Ministries and departments of Turkmenistan signed contracts with the company "KAMAZ FTC CORP. LLP" (UK) to purchase 420 vehicles and special equipment of "KAMAZ" brand and their spare parts, an official Turkmen source said on Saturday.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov signed the corresponding decree
"Turkmenistan, staking on the advanced achievements of scientific and technical ideas and innovation technology, is interested in purchasing advanced high-tech equipment from KAMAZ, which are adapted to local climatic conditions," President Berdimuhammadov said at the signing ceremony.
Turkmenistan has been cooperated with automakers from Naberezhnye Chelny for a long time.
KAMAZ has a subsidiary in Turkmenistan.
In addition, service center, spare parts warehouse and "KAMAZ" vehicles maintenance station operate in Turkmenistan. In July 2009, training commercial service center was opened in Ashgabat.
Since 2006, "KAMAZ" has supplied more than 4,500 vehicles to Turkmenistan.
