The organization is negotiating with the foreign banks, he told IRNA news agency.

About $5 billion in foreign investment projects has been approved in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (it began on March 21, 2011), he added.

In October, Alishiri said that in terms of the growth of foreign direct investment (FDI), Iran is among the world's top countries. Despite the global economic sanctions, more than 400 foreign companies are now directly investing in Iranian different sectors, he stressed.
