Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 10 / Trend E. Kosolapova/

Kazakhstan plans to abandon the parallel operation with the power system of Uzbekistan, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported referring to Kazakh National Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC).

"KEGOC is seeking to abandon the parallel operation with the power system of Uzbekistan taking into account the adverse weather conditions, imbalanced work of Uzbekenergo and lack of resources to increase energy generation at the energy sources of Zhambyl and South Kazakhstan regions," the company said.

The Kazakh Unified Energy System has recorded non-contractual power flows from Uzbekistan since September, KEGOC reported earlier. Fluctuations on the border with Kazakhstan up to 500 MW of power takeoff or output were observed in the period

Non-observance of the energy regimes negatively affected and destabilized the unified energy system of Central Asia.
