A considerable fall in the supply at Baku's land market has been noted, Director General of MBA Group Nusret Ibragimov told Trend on Friday.

"The land market supply has decreased by 22 per cent against 2009. As compared to 1000 to 1100 land portions offered in November 2009, 800 portions were now offered. This is because of the sale of unregistered land portions becoming more difficult," Mr Ibragimov reported.

"The supply of one and two-room living apartments has also decreased," he said.
"This is because many such apartments are bought at the expense of a mortgage credit," Mr Ibragimov noted.

However the supply of newly built living apartments grows. "As compared to last November when 421 newly built houses were in sale, the number has now increased up to 440 or five to six per cent," he said.

Supply of the lease of commercial property has also increased. "Here the supply grew by 20 per cent over the latest year as profitability of such buildings decreased," Mr Ibragimov said.
