Russian company to raise $200 million to develop field in Uzbekistan

The Russian company Lukoil will raise capital totaling $200 million from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to carry out a project to increase production in the Khauzak-Shady field in Uzbekistan by the end of this year, a government source told Trend on Monday.

It was earlier reported that Lukoil plans to draw the funds from a consortium of lenders to the tune of $500 million on the principles of limited liability to finance the development of the Kandym field and to increase production in the Khauzak-Shady field.

It is expected that the Asian Development Bank and Islamic Development Bank, BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA, the Korea Development Bank, Credit Agricole CIB and UniCredit Group will join the consortium of lenders.
