Kazakh foreign trade turnover up by 40%

For nine months of 2011 the foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan grew more than by 40 percent, Economic Development and Trade Minister Kairat Kelimbetov said at today's meeting of the Kazakh Government in Astana, Kazinform reported.

For nine months of 2011 the foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan grew more than by 40 percent, Economic Development and Trade Minister Kairat Kelimbetov said at today's meeting of the Kazakh Government in Astana, Kazinform reported.

"Real economic growth rates along with the favorable foreign market environment contributed to 41.3 percent increase in foreign trade turnover in January-September. Following this it reached $91.9 billion," Kelimbetov said.

For the past nine months goods export increased by 49.9 percent compared to the same period of 2010 to $ 65.8 billion. The country's import in January-September rose by 23.5 percent to 26.1 billion.
