About 8.649.3 billion manat was invested in the Azerbaijani economy in January-October 2011, an increase of 21.7 percent compared to the same period of the last year, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend on Saturday.
Investments for construction work made up 5.247.6 billion manat totaling 60.7 percent of the total volume of investments. Investment for the construction of production facilities totaled 4.053.2 billion manat, while non-production facilities totaled 4.596.1 billion manat.
About 76.6 percent fall to domestic investments. Most (71.5 percent) domestic investments are embedded in state-owned enterprises and organizations and only 28.5 percent - in private enterprises.
About 3.116.9 billion manat of 6.052.1 billion manat were invested in the construction of facilities, funding of which is realized at the expense of budget funds.
Major sources of investing were funds of enterprises and organizations (4.084.8 billion manat or 47.2 percent of the total amount of investments), bank credits (671.8 million manat, 7.8 percent), budget funds (3.297.9 billion manat, 38.1 percent), non-budgetary funds (299 million manat, 3.5 percent), population's personal funds (291.7 million manat, 3.4 percent) and other funds (4.1 million manat).
Of the total amount 72.2 percent were directed (6.240.7 billion manat) to the development of non-oil sector, 14.1 percent (1.219 million manat) - non-oil industrial sector, 27.8 percent (2.408.6 billion manat) - oil sector.
About 41.9 percent of investments fell to industrial areas, 4 percent - agriculture, forestry and fishery, 3.2 percent - trade, 21.5 percent - transport, 1.8 percent - communications, 0.9 percent-construction , 1.7 percent - health care, 2 percent - education, 9.1 percent - real estate transactions (of which 8.9 percent - housing), 4.8 percent - sports, entertainment and culture, 5.5 percent - state management, 0.1 percent - financial and insurance activity, 1.1 percent - administrative and support services and 0.2 percent - other spheres.
