Foreign countries may partake in cargo and passenger air transportation of Iran and invest in this field, Mohammed Tagi Bahtiyari, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's Civil Aviation Committee, was quoted by Iranian state news agency IRNA as reporting.

Under the Fifth Development Program of Iran, foreign countries are allowed to partake in cargo and passenger air transportation of Iran.

Airlines of foreign countries can operate in Iran in accordance with international tariffs, Bahtiyari noted.
"First of all, they can implement international flights to Iran and further will be given permission for the provision of other kinds of services," Bahtiyari said.

As he noted, Iran currently is in talks with Qatar Airline over the provision of air transport services in Iran.

"There are no any restrictions in this field so every country can provide such services," Bahtiyari reported.
