Kazakh producers agreed to export goods worth $ 18 million to China after a trade team visited that country

Kazakh producers agreed to export goods worth $ 18 million to China after a trade team visited that country, the Kazakh National Export and Investment Agency Kaznex Invest reported on Friday.

"Chinese companies plan to buy motor oil, fat-and-oil products, recycled wool and dietary supplements. Moreover, negotiations on export of Kazakh batteries, confectionery (sweets) and flour to Chine are underway," the report said.

Kaznex Invest organized a visit of Kazakh trade team to China on Nov. 21-24 as part of the export promotion of Kazakh goods in foreign markets.

A total of 15 Kazakh enterprises of machine building, chemical, construction, textile and food industries presented their products to Chinese customers on the mission.

Kaznex Invest organized 11 trade missions to China, Korea, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran, and India since 2009. Another two trade missions - to Russia and Romania - are scheduled by the end of 2011.
Kaznex Invest is one of Kazakhstan's national development institutions designed to promote diversification of the national economy by creating more favorable conditions for development and advancement of Kazakhstan's non-commodity exports and foreign direct investment in priority sectors of the economy.
