About 46.65 million tons of cargo were transported through Azerbaijan in January-October 2011, or 9.45 percent more than last year, the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee said today.
Exports of goods during this period amounted to 29.07 million tons, imports - 7.26 million tons.
About 264,370 tons of cargo were transported by sea, 2.75 million tons by railway, 390,500 tons by vehicles, 394,500 tons by aircrafts for ten months of the year. The transportation by stationary vehicles totaled about 25.3 million tons.
About 1.120 tons of cargo were transported by sea, 4.58 million tons by railway, 1.51 million tons by vehicles, 18,500 tons of cargo by aircrafts.
About 13.01 million tons were transited through the territory of Azerbaijan for the ten months of 2011.
