The keel laying ceremony of two ferryboats for the Caspian Shipping Company (CSC) of Azerbaijan was held at the Ulyanik Croatian shipyard, the CSC reported on Monday. The laying ceremony was held on November 25. CSC head Aydin Bashirov was in attendance.
The CSC has already been using ferryboats built by this shipyard and in particular within the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) where they deliver railway wagons to Turkmenbashi and Altar.

Speaking at the ceremony, CSC head Aydin Bashirov said the trade fleet of Azerbaijan has been renovated. One dry cargo ship, 10 tankers and four ferryboats have been bought at the price of the CSC and state budget over the past eight years, he noted.
